Hi! I am excited to be returning to my roots as an Agriculture Teacher at HHS and HPA. I grew up on a cattle, cotton and wheat farm in the Rolling Plains of Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science and competed on the collegiate Wool, Meats and Livestock Judging Teams. Later, I received my teaching certification and M.A. in Teaching from West Texas A&M University. I previously worked for Texas A&M University and a U.S. Congressman, but I have found my calling in growing students through teaching.
This is my tenth year as a teacher, and I previously taught 8th grade History, Leadership and 7th/8th grade Agriculture.
My husband, Dennis, and I have two sons and two daughters. Jack is a senior at Texas A&M University, Rachael is a sophomore at Texas A&M University, Avery is a junior at HHS and Sam is an 8th grader at HPA. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and helping Avery and Sam with their sheep and goat projects.
